Busbrands required the development of a simple yet catchy microsite to promote the launch of the new GAP Australia stores - set to open in July and August in both Melbourne and Sydney.

In line with a suite of print and outdoor marketing activities, the microsite serves as a central communication and interaction point housed at www.gapaustralia.com.

A cute and quirky introductory animation brings the creative for the pre-launch strategy to life. Featuring a zipper, bursting to open and a “hello Melbourne” message, the animation is brief but engaging.

Once the animation has played, users are directed to a site home page featuring a scene constructed from iconic Melbourne and Sydney scenery and landmarks - Flinder Street Station, Luna Park, Trams and the MCG.

A musical backdrop -  “Are You With Me” by The Potbelleez also plays to add life to the scene.

Users can then click on key parts of the scene to access content - Sign Up, explore GAP's History and to view GAP's Wardrobe Basics ranges for Men's, Women's, Kids's and Babies.

While the site is developed in Flash to ensure movement and vibrancy, an underlying HTML page ensures users on iPhones and iPad's don't miss the opportunity to sign up!
