Web Developer [PHP] (mid to senior level)
Flint is a company that works on a variety of projects that deliver great creative and technical challenges. We work on a range of projects from $5K to $150K, from start-up to longer partnerships, some over 3 years in duration. Each pose an exciting opportunity to learn something new or to have a unique approach to the challenge.
We are looking for a keen developer that wants to join our team and help us deliver some of the exciting projects we have upcoming.
Our culture is built around team work, and as such have created pods of teams that allow each person to have a valuable contribution based on their expertise to the project. Each team is structured so there is a project management function, a designer, front-end and mid/senior developers. Each week, the developers meet together from all the teams to do a show-and-tell, as well as to develop their skills through dedicated training time.
We have attracted a great team, that produce great work. We love working with such a diverse range of clients and like to bring our developers up front to meet and work together on problems. Together, we deliver projects where everyone has real involvement to achieve something that is awesome.

You will be required to:
- Produce effective solutions to presented requirements
- Develop good websites and applications
- Accurate work breakdown, organisation and communication

Skills
Requirements:
- Strong demonstrated use of MVC and use of web development patterns
- E-Commerce and API integration experience
- 3-5 years experience in similar role
- 2-3 years Zend Framework experience (or equivalent MVC)
- Tertiary software development education
Core Development Technologies:
- PHP5 and PHP5.3 primary language choice
- MySQL experience; schema design, SQL proficiency, optimisation
- Other related technologies for web design: XML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Ideals:
- ZCE Certification in PHP5/5.3
- Active community engagement (event attendance)
- Open Source community contribution
- WordPress experience
- Magento experience and training
