Front-end Developer

Flint is on the lookout for a passionate front-end developer that has the "know-how" and is excited about web development using the latest techniques and pushing animation and functionality with jQuery.

Do you have a knack for building awesome designs with clean code? Think developing with jQuery is the coolest? Played around with some of the latest tools? Love firebug, textmate, zen coding and maybe less/sass? What's your opinion on coffeescript? Use an IDE? Placed something on GitHub?

Flint is a unique agency that has creative, technical and client-facing strengths embedded in its roots. The founders include the Accounts Director, Technical Director and Creative Director. Together they have created awesome sites with a team that is really talented at what they do. We are looking for passionate hard-working developers to join the team, and look forward to finding that someone with the right attitude and strong skills.

Inside Flint, we work strongly as small units. You will be working in a highly-experienced kick-arse team alongside other passionate developers and a producer. Small is agile and allows you to step up and take ownership of your contribution to the solution.

You will also be joining our front-end dev team, and look to sharing and pushing skills and adoption of anything that gets you excited in the land of front-end great UI/UX. 

There are no design requirements for this job, but we seek someone who can demonstrate an eye for design.

Skills:

− Strong jQuery and JavaScript
− Strong HTML/CSS, cross-browser compliancy
− JSON, XML/XSLT and XPath (can be learnt)
− Basic PHP for some integration
− SVN or other versioning system (git)

Experience:

− 2-5 years commercial web agency experience 
− Working in a team of developers
− Working with CMSs, custom applications and WordPress
− Releasing something open source (for added points++)
